Kewaunee football faces tough Amherst squad in Level 2 matchup

The Kewaunee Storm will need a big-time performance to get past their Level 2 opponent Amherst Friday night on the road.

The Storm has rattled off eight consecutive wins since starting out the season 0-2 against non-conference opponents. The last two weeks they shut out Southern Door and outscored them 72-0. Led by Mitchell Thompson, Anthony Jerabek, and Jesse Morales-Hernandez, the Storm has scored at least 30 points in their last four games.

Amherst comes into the game a perfect 11-0 including last week's 36-8 win over Clintonville. Landon Moe has thrown for an even 1500 yards while also rushing just shy of 700 yards on the ground. They have made it to at least Level 3 every year since 2013 including winning the state title three consecutive years.
