Luxemburg-Casco volley looking to repeat playoff success from last season

The Luxemburg-Casco girls volleyball team comes into the 2019 season as one of the top teams in the state. This is thanks to their tremendous showing in the playoffs last year getting all the way to the sectional final before losing to their conference rival Little Chute. The Spartans were able to beat two other conference opponents on their way to winning the regional championship. Those two teams were Freedom in the opening round and then Oconto Falls in the regional championship game. L-C then went on to beat Notre Dame in the first sectional.

Oconto Falls was the correct answer to Thursday's trivia question.

Luxemburg-Casco football gets early work

The Luxemburg-Casco football is taking advantage of the early contact season for its 2019 campaign kicks off.

The Spartans are joining other teams in the state for the St. Norbert College Team Camp this week. The team hopes to start another run to the playoff this year when they kick off the season in New London on August 23rd.

A look back at Luxemburg-Casco's boys basketball season

On a team with eight seniors on it, a young star emerged for the Luxemburg-Casco boys basketball team. Ryan Robillard was just a sophomore for the 2018-2019 season and he ended up on the All North Eastern Conference Second Team. He finished second on the team in points behind Nathan Coisman. Robillard showed his fantastic shooting ability by hitting close to 40% of threes. The Spartans will need his leadership next season as he's the leading returning scorer and rebounder.

Robillard was the correct answer to Thursday's trivia question. Congratulations to Joe Wautier for answering the question correctly! Joe will win a $25 certificate to The Rendezvous in Luxemburg.
